How can I change the scan resolution higher than 300dpi? It seems to me, this is the limit, as it is not possible to set it higher in the software. But when I read the printer specs, it says it can go as high as 1200 dpi optical with the scan feature. Can anyone help me, please.

Only scanning from the glass.  Not the ADF.

First of all, thank you for your reply. How will I change the settings to 1200dpi from the glass surface? There is no way that I can do it in the software. In the software it does not go higher than 300 ppi. I would be so thankful for step by step instructions.
