Hi @Nabeel3724,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding error on your printer!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
The "0 rotating" issue in the HP Smart Tank 585 printer usually happens due to a printer initialization error or carriage movement issue. Try these steps to fix it:
Hard Reset the Printer
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from power.
- Wait 5 minutes.
- Plug it back in and turn it on.
Check for Paper Jams or Obstructions
- Open the printer cover and check if the carriage (ink holder) is moving freely.
- If it's stuck, gently move it left and right manually.
- Remove any paper bits, dust, or obstacles inside.
Reinsert Ink Cartridges & Check Sensors
- Open the ink compartment and remove all cartridges.
- Clean the cartridge metal contacts with a lint-free cloth.
- Reinsert them firmly and close the cover.
Update Printer Firmware
- If your printer is connected to WiFi or a PC, update the firmware via the HP Smart App.
- Download the latest firmware from the HP Support website.
Reset to Factory Settings
- Press and hold the WiFi + Cancel buttons for 10-15 seconds.
- Release them and wait for the printer to restart.
