Hi @JonathanAlmeida,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

The amber and white blinking lights with an “E” error on your HP Ink Tank Wireless 416 printer typically indicate a critical error, often related to multiple errors, Ink System error or cartridge alignment.

Here’s how to troubleshoot it step-by-step:

Step 1: Check Ink Levels Visually

  • Open the ink tank cover.
  • Ensure all tanks (especially cyan, magenta, yellow) have ink.
  • If any tank is empty, refill it with genuine HP ink.

Step 2: Clean Ink System

Sometimes, ink clogs or air bubbles can cause detection errors.

  • Use the printer’s Print Head Cleaning function:
    • Press and hold the Resume/Cancel button (circle with triangle) for 3 seconds.
    • Let the printer run the cleaning cycle.

Step 3: Check for Air Gaps or Improper Refills

If you’ve used refilled ink or third-party bottles:

  • Make sure you followed proper refill procedure.
  • There shouldn't be air bubbles in the ink lines or loose tank caps.
  • Ensure tanks are filled above the minimum line.

Step 4: Hard Reset the Printer

Try a manual reset:

  1. Power off the printer.
  2. Unplug the power cable from the wall and printer.
  3. Wait for 60 seconds.
  4. Plug it back in and power it on.

I hope this helps.

Take care, and have an amazing day!
