HP 8710 Officejet Pro
Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)

I just got HP Officejet pro 8710 and I have installed it, however, it installs all kinds of things I don't want, like google drive and shop for hp supplies so I want to unintall it and then reinstall it without all those things. What do I chose on the reinstall to not get all those things?  Thanks for any help. I'm on Windows 7 Pro 32 bit

Hi,

You can simply remove unnecessary components, there is no need to remove everything and reinstall it.

 

Open the Control Panel and select Programs and Features > Uninstall a Program.

 

Type HP into the top search bar.

 

Keep the following items which are necessary for the printer:

  • HP Officejet Pro 8710 Basic Device Software.
  • IRIS OCR for HP

Remove other components such as Show for HP Supply from this list.

 

Note: you may remove the HP Dropbox Plugin and the Googe Driver Plugin, but these will only remove teh Scan to cloud options from HP Scan software, I suggest keeping those to avoid any possible scan software problems as these components hardly consume any resources of your PC ...

Thanks so much....  I knowthe 'cloud' is some place that things get saved for people who have it, but boy in my lexicon Clouds are things that either bring rain or a marvelous silver lining 🙂
