Hi everyone,
I'm having trouble getting my printer to actually work- I don't want to use the internet, as the only network I have available has an encryption that isn't supported by the printer. I'm trying to use it with a wired connection, so I have an ethernet cable attached but I'm not sure what the next step is. Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thank you

You are using the wrong cable. You need a Printer USB cable like this.

Ethernet will also need to be connected to your router.
Try using the USB connnector, for more info take a look at this link.

Hi,
There are several other ways to print using OJPro 6978 other than WIFI:
1. Front USB Host. for photo printing, you can save your photos in thumbdrive and plug it into the front USB host of the printer. Then you are ready to print
2. Via USB device port . At the back of the printer, you will find USB device port. There is USB cable coming together with your printer inside the printer box. Plug the USB cable to the printer and your computer. You are ready to print.
3. via Ethernet port. Ethernet port is at the back of the printer close to USB device port. Plug in the ethernet cable, you will find the Ethernet icon shown on the front panel. IP address can be found from the front panel when the ethernet is established.
please make sure the driver is installed on your computer, you can find the driver for 6978 from the followig link:
Hope this solves your problem.
