3050
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)
I have a deskjet 3050 that has been wireless printing for years but I upgraded my router to a netgear Blackhawk ac 1750 and now no matter how many times I try I cannot get the the printer to link via wps. I've tried the wps button on the router, I've tried the wps button through internet explorer while in my router settings, I've tried it with the PIN and without the PIN and still nothing.. I reset the printer to defaults several times also.. I'm completely stumped, any advice would be appreciated

Getting the USB cable was the solution I needed.. once I was able to instal the software and connect the printer via USB then put in my network credentials I was able to link to the router and I am printing wirelessly again... thank you for all your help

Have you tried the traditional wireless connection using the USB cable? (see pg. 36 users manual)

The router is set to WPA2-PSK[AES], 2.4Ghz?

Is the router firmware up to date?

How far from the router is the printer?

What is the status of the WiFi light?

After reading this I moved the printer down right next to the router just to try that and it still didn't work.. the router is running dual band a 2.4 Ghz as well as a 5Ghz firmware is up to date and the wireless light on the printer is constantly blinking blue

Did you print a network config. page?

I did, basically the problem I see is that it keeps saying printer cannot find access point. Everything says pass except network name found that says "Fail".. the other thing I found strange was the printed list of available networks had the 2.4Ghz band from the router but it did not list the network running on the 5Ghz band from the router

The print WiFi radio only works on the 2.4Ghz.

As a test can you turn off the 5Ghz on the router.

That didn't help either... I have a friend with a ho printer that I think is the same cord I'm going to get it and try to go that route because obviously this isn't working
HP Recommended

One final test would be to turn on the old router & see if the printer can connect.
