Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi, my black ink cartridges giving this kind of error despite of being genuine product bought from HP accessories. It's showing my cartridge is incompatible with my printer however 678 is designated with it, which I've already confirmed from HP help services.

Also note, I've already looked into HP Support docs and guidelines available in this context, completing all of the methods they've mentioned lately not working for me.

Hello,

Below is the link to troubleshooting document that you may try.  Don not miss the step# 3

https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-deskjet-ink-advantage-3540-e-all-in-one-printer-series/52859...

If issue still persists, try the below steps..

  1. While the printer is ON, remove both the cartridges. Close the cartridge access door.
  2. Unplug the power cord from back of the printer. Wait for 30 seconds. Now plug in the power cord to the printer. If printer does not power ON automatically, then you may press the ON button.
  3. Once the printer is ready, Install only the Tri-Color cartridge when prompted and close the door. Check if the error shows up.
  4. Now install the Black cartridge and check if the errors shows up. If yes, its time to get the printer serviced.

Jabzi
