@Davek17112, Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
Check Printer Connection
- Ensure that your printer is properly connected to your computer or network. If it's a wireless printer, check that the printer is connected to your Wi-Fi network.
Restart Printer and Computer
- Power off your printer and turn it back on. Sometimes a simple restart resolves issues.
- Restart your computer to make sure there are no software conflicts or pending updates that are affecting printing.
Check for Software Updates
- Make sure your printer's firmware is up to date. You can do this through the HP Smart app or by visiting the HP Support website.
- Update your printer driver to the latest version as well. Check the HP website or the printer software for any available updates.
Check Printer Settings
- Open your printer settings on your computer (Control Panel > Devices and Printers > Right-click on your printer > Printer Preferences).
- Make sure that the printer is not set to print only specific types of files (e.g., photos only).
- Ensure that the paper size, type, and other settings are correctly configured for the documents you want to print (boarding passes, PDFs, etc.).
Try Printing from a Different Application
- If you're trying to print from a PDF viewer (like Adobe Acrobat), try printing from a different app (such as a web browser or another PDF viewer).
- If you're printing emails, make sure you're using a program that supports your printer (such as the email app or your web browser).

Check PDF Settings
- If the issue is with PDFs, ensure that the file is not corrupted. Try opening the PDF in a different viewer, such as a browser or another PDF reader.
- Some PDFs might have security settings that prevent printing. Check the PDF's properties or permissions.
Clear Printer Queue
- Open the "Printers & Scanners" section on your computer, select your HP Envy 6200, and check if there are any stuck print jobs in the queue. If there are, cancel them and try printing again.
Reinstall Printer Drivers
- Uninstall and reinstall the printer drivers. You can do this from the "Printers & Scanners" settings or through the HP Smart app.
- After reinstalling, restart both your computer and printer, then test printing again.
Print Test Page
- Try printing a test page to ensure your printer is functioning correctly. You can do this from the "Printers & Scanners" settings or from the printer’s control panel.
Check Email Settings
- If you're trying to print boarding passes from email, ensure the email is formatted correctly (HTML or plain text might not always print well). Try forwarding the email to a different address or downloading the attachment directly.
I hope these steps help resolve the issue
