Hi @MHB1540,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like your HP Color LaserJet 3600n is experiencing an issue where the yellow cartridge replacement is affecting the color output. Since greens are coming out as blue and the print is slightly blurred, here are a few troubleshooting steps to try.

Check for Cartridge Installation

  • Ensure that the yellow cartridge is installed correctly. If it is not seated properly, it could cause color misalignment. Remove the cartridge and reinstall it, making sure it clicks into place.

Check the Toner for Leaks or Contamination

  • If any toner leaked during the installation of the new cartridge, it could be causing color mixing or poor print quality. Clean any toner residue carefully inside the printer.

Reset the Printer

  • Try resetting the printer to clear any temporary issues. Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for about 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.

Run a Printer Diagnostic

  • Use the built-in printer diagnostic or the printer's control panel to run a diagnostic for color calibration. This can help identify if there’s a problem with the color output or toner distribution.

Try Another Yellow Cartridge

  • Although you've already tried two yellow cartridges, it could be worth trying another new cartridge from a different batch. Sometimes, even new cartridges can be defective.

Check the Drum Unit

  • The drum unit could be causing the blurred print or color issues. Inspect the drum for any damage or wear. If the drum is old or malfunctioning, it might need to be replaced.

Perform a Color Calibration

  • Even after recalibrating, you might want to try another color calibration or a different method through the printer’s menu. Sometimes, recalibrating multiple times can help reset the color mix.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

You either have 2 bad yellow toners or one of the contacts that the cartridge engages is bent and not making contact. Remove the yellow and one other carriage and closely compare the cartridge slot paying close attention to any metal wires about the thickness of paper clips.
