my ink cartridge is half full and wasn't too long ago that I put it in, and this affect 2 printers on my end, mine that is a 3833 Officejet and my wife's printer that is a 2547 deskjet and we just put new cartridges in her printer It happened after we installed the Nov update to bring windows up to the 1909 version, both units are running windows 10 pro. Mine prints only every other line of text and the Headers never print on the top of my documents, my wife's printer won't print the alignment sheet and every othjer thing that she tries to print fails to print or you can say it is unreadable, do you still think it's the cartridges that are the problem, If  it is then why did it affect both printers after running the Nov update for windows 10

A easy test is to print a copy from the printer front panel.

it turns out both printers need a new black ink cartridges, must have somehow zapped the black ink cartridges into thinking it was empty after updating to windows 10 version 1909the way I teste the print out was to change the color of a page of text into blue and both printers printed it out with no problem, thanks for the help in suggesting I needed to change the black ink cartridges.

If you do not use the printers at least once a week then print something that has all the colors weekly.
