So...here's the story. I bought the printer off Amazon. It received little use before I moved. After getting settled in my new house I finally got my office setup. After printing some contracts, I finally ran out of the starter ink cartridges that came with the printer. I purchased new cartridges but after installing them I was given an error that they're not compatible. I was told the error is due to the printer being configured for South America. I was told to call the support number and they can remotely re-configure the printer to accept the 972X cartridge. When I called support they've offered ZERO help other than telling me to take it to an authorized service center - the nearest one to me is 200+ miles away! I've now spent hundreds of dollars for the ability to print 50 sheets of paper. HELP!!!

I have escalated your post to the moderators, asking them to have an agent from HP reach out to you regarding regionalization settings on your printer.
