Product: Hp Pagewide Pro MFP 477dw
Operating System: macOS 10.12 Sierra

HP Pagewide Pro MFP 477dw is saying the 972x is an incompatible cartridge.  Any suggestions as to why it is saying that?

I had this same issue. I spoke with HP Support and the reason this occured according to them is that my printer was configured for South America. Apparently, these printers are dedicated to regions. All you have to do is call the support number and they can remotely re-configure your printer whereas it will accept the 972X cartridge. This took about 12 minutes to fully complete.

Hi.

 

I`m facing the same trouble. The set of HP 973X ink cartridge is not working. It appears that they are not compalible with the printer. But in the 973X its written that its available for this printer - HP Pagewide Pro MFP 477dw.

What can I do?

Do you have the support number by chance?   Their online support is not working and cannot locate a number anywhere.
