Thanks for stopping by the HP Support Forums. After reading your post I see that you need assistance regarding printer error messages and it does not seem to work. It will be a delight to assist you here.
Superb analysis and brilliant diagnosis of the issue before posting. Kudos to you on that score. 🙂
For better clarity and to assist you correctly I would require more information regarding this:
- Did this after a recent power outage or surge?
- Do you get any cartridge error messages?
For now, try these steps:
Let me keep you posted that the printer may be faulty and may need to be replaced.
- Perform a hard reset on the printer by following instructions from this link: https://hp.care/2suo14A under the section “Step 1: Reset the printer”.
- Now check for issue resolution.
- If it continues, then perform all the relevant steps from this link: https://hp.care/2FWcVAV (A 'Cartridge Problem,' 'Ink Cartridge Failure,' or 'Incompatible Ink Cartridges)
Now check if the situation is corrected.
If it continues, then contact HP phone support to replace the printer as it is faulty.
I am being honest about it by keeping your best interest in mind without beating around the bush,
