Hi there,
We have bought laser 107w printer nearly eight months ago. Recently, i can't take print outs from my macos Big Sur. I connect the printer to the computer, it looks online and connected but when i send a print, it is seen and notified on the screen that the job has finished but i can't get a print out nearly %99 of the cases. Sometimes, really so rarely, it print outs. I tried to find the driver or use airprint or contact HP but it seems like they have stopped giving service for this model. So, i will be glad if you can help me with this matter.
Thanks,
Mert.

Hi Mert,
The printer is supported on macOS using Airprint through a wireless connection only, it cannot be used with a Mac with a USB connection.
Please unplug the cable from the back of the printer.
From any mobile device (Android or iPhone) open its Wireless Settings, ensure you are connected to the home network and that you see an HP-Setup nearby wireless network.
If no HP-Setup SSID is listed, press Cancel to wake up the printer, then press and hold the Wireless button for approx. 20 seconds, as soon as the Attention light starts blinking in addition to the the Power light, release the button and allow the printer to restart, then ensure you see an HP-Setup network.
Open the HP Smart app, and then tap the Plus sign.
Tap Add Printer (Android) or Set Up a New Printer. (iOS) and follow the steps on screen to connect the printer to the wireless network as your Mac is connected to.
For detailed information, follow 'Connect a printer that does not have a touchscreen control panel >> Step 2: Connect the printer with the HP Smart app' below:
https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/ish_1736500-1626554-16
From the Mac open System Preferences > Printers & Scanners, press the plus sign and select the printer and press Add, then try printing.

I reviewed your post and I understand that you are unable to print.
Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.
I recommend you uninstall the printer driver from your computer and then install the printer using the Apple AirPrint.
Here is how it is done.
1.) Click the Apple menu, click System Preferences, and then click Print & Scan or Printers & Scanners.
2.) Check if your printer name displays in the Printers list, If your printer is listed, click the printer name, click the minus sign to delete the printer.
3.) If you see multiple printer queues for the same printer, remove all extra printers by selecting them one at a time, and then clicking the minus button at the bottom of the list.
4.) Click the plus sign click Add Printer or Scanner, click the printer name.
NOTE: Make sure that the printer Kind is Bonjour or Bonjour Multifunction, or USB.
5.) Click the Use or Print Using menu, select AirPrint in the pop-up menu. Then click Add. Select AirPrint from the Use menu
6.) Try to print.
Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!

Dear The_Fossette,
Thank you for your reply, i did the same as you recommend and i saw one printer with airprint selected in my printer list. There was no other printer in the list except this one. So i tried to print a word document, even if it shows the printer idle and connected and it shows the document is printed in the print jobs/queues, a print out does not came out from the printer 😞
I called the HP service again but they say the model is too old and they don't give service.
Thanks anyway,
Mert.

Dear Shlomi,
I have tried your solution and also i watched the video in the link, i was not able to see Hp-setup etc. option in my network list. There is just a "Direct-F4-HP Laser 107w" option in the network list and when i click it, it asks for a password which i don't know.
Thanks again..
Mert.

Hi Mert,
Did you unplug the USB cable first as instructed? this is crucial, the Setup option won't appear with a USB cable connected.

Thank you very much for all your help and concern.

Hi, I am able to see the printer in my Wi-fi list but when I try to connect to the printer it says there is no internet connection and tells me to restart my modem and or router. But clearly there is an internet connection because I am running all my other devices.
I am on a Macbook Air running Big Sur 11.1. This is the second printer I purchased. The first one I sent back because HP claimed it was broken ( I was having the same issue). The documentation clearly states that this printer can be used with this computer.
