I have hp laserjet m208dw show in 3 dots I have changed my cartridge bet printer not on

If your HP LaserJet M208dw printer is not turning on, even after changing the cartridge, there could be several reasons for this issue. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the problem.

 

Check Power Connection:

  • Ensure that the power cable is securely plugged into both the printer and a functional power outlet.
  • Confirm that the power outlet is working by testing it with another device.

Power Cycle:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Wait for a few minutes, then plug it back in and turn it on.

Inspect Control Panel:

  • Look for any error messages or indicators on the printer's control panel.
  • If there are error messages, refer to the printer's manual or documentation to identify the issue.

Reset Printer:

  • Some printers have a reset button. Check your printer's manual to locate and use the reset button if available.

Check for Paper Jams:

  • Ensure there are no paper jams in the printer. Even if the display doesn't show an error, a paper jam might be preventing the printer from starting.

Inspect Toner Cartridge Installation:

  • Double-check that the new toner cartridge is installed correctly. Make sure it's securely seated in the correct position.
