I have run the wireless network setup many many times. I have selected the SSID and typed the SSID name but password still doesn’t work. I’ve had other people enter information and it still won’t work. I have connected all other devices to new modem/router with my password. Just my hp printer doesn’t accept my password. I’ve tried resetting default settings. I’ve connected to another modem/router and printed with no problems.
I printed a test report and it says “Your wireless router requires a WPA security passphrase. The passphrase configured on your HP printer does not match exactly. Run the wireless network setup to re-enter your wireless network WPA security passphrase. The WPA authentication method of your Hp printer has been changed from the default setting. This may cause problems when connecting to your wireless network, if your wireless router is not using the same WPA authentication method.” What do I try now?

Hello may try these steps below and see if that helps out
- On the product control panel, touch the Setup button.
- Scroll to and touch the Service menu.
- Scroll to and touch the Restore Defaults button, and then touch the OK button.
Thanks.

Resetting default settings did no help with my problem.
I installed a new modem/router and now my HP laser jet pro 200 m276nw will accept network name but not the password. I can’t connect to my WiFi. I connected to another WiFi and printed with no problem. How do I get my printer to accept password?

On the printers control panel, select the Wireless button, and then click the Wireless Menu button. Click the Wireless Setup Wizard button, and then select your SSID from the list of available networks. Enter your wireless security password and should be good.
