I have a hp smart tank 7602, very new that stopped printing in cyan. I did clean print head, aligned, and removed air bubbles from the lines and it still will not print in cyan.
what else should I try?

Hi @Happy-Days-1_,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP Smart Tank 7602 is still not printing cyan after cleaning the printhead and clearing air bubbles, here are a few additional steps to try.

  • Check Cyan Ink Levels: Make sure the cyan ink tank is not empty or low. Even if it's full, sometimes ink can dry or clog within the tank, so check for any visible blockages.
  • Deep Cleaning: Since standard cleaning didn't work, try a deeper printhead cleaning through the HP Smart software or the printer’s control panel (if available). This often involves multiple cycles of cleaning to remove stubborn clogs.
  • Print a Diagnostic Page: If you haven't already, print a test or diagnostic page to see if the cyan is not responding at all or if there’s a partial clog.
  • Check for Printhead Alignment Issues: Sometimes, printhead alignment can affect specific color printing. Perform another alignment and make sure it's completed without errors.
  • Re-seat or Replace the Cyan Cartridge: While you’ve cleaned it, ensure the cyan ink tank is properly seated in the printer. If the cartridge appears damaged or clogged beyond cleaning, replacing it with a new one may resolve the issue.
  • Reset Printer: Perform a factory reset or power cycle the printer. Sometimes, a reset helps clear any system glitches preventing proper printing.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
