Hi @Karl197823,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Below are steps to troubleshoot and resolve this problem:

1. Restart Your Printer and Network Equipment:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug the power cord.
  • Turn off your router and modem, and unplug their power cords.
  • Wait for about 60 seconds.
  • Plug in and turn on the modem, then the router.
  • Plug in and turn on the printer.

2. Check Network Connection:

  • Ensure the printer is connected to the same network as your computer or mobile device.
  • If the printer is connected via Wi-Fi, ensure the wireless light on the printer is steady and not blinking.
  • For Ethernet connections, make sure the Ethernet cable is securely attached to the printer and the router.

3. Reconnect the Printer to the Network:

  • On the printer's control panel, navigate to the wireless settings menu.
  • Select the option to connect to a network, and follow the on-screen instructions to reconnect the printer.

4. Print a Network Configuration Report:

  • Use the printer’s menu to print a network configuration page which will provide details about the printer’s network settings.
  • Ensure the IP address is correct and within the same range as other devices on the network.

5. Update Printer Firmware:

  • Ensure your printer’s firmware is up to date by visiting the HP support website and downloading any available updates.

6. Check Firewall and Security Settings:

  • Sometimes, firewall or security settings can block the printer’s communication with the network.
  • Ensure that the printer is allowed through your firewall settings.

7. Verify Web Services Setup:

  • Ensure that Web Services are enabled on your printer which can help it to communicate with HP services.

8. Use HP Smart App:

9. Reset Network Settings:

  • On the printer's control panel, navigate to the Settings or Network Setup menu.
  • Select the option to reset the network settings.
