I have shut down and restarted the printer a number of times.  I have also removed the print cartridges and replaced them several times.  Nothing is jamming the cartridges.  There are no paper jams.  I have owned the printer for less than two years.

@metrobob, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.

 

I understand you are not able to use the printer due to this error.

Make sure you are using HP inks. To check for jams, refer to - Paper jam error or Carriage jam or E3 error

 

Perform the steps mentioned in this document - 'Printer Failure' Error

 

If the error persists, I'm afraid it is an issue with the printer

If the printer is out of warranty, I suggest you upgrade the printer. You may visit Hp Store to check the available printers.
