I’m trying to print some cards which are 15cm x 15cm. How do I load this card and let the printer know the correct size. I can’t see a custom size option on the printer menu, but the online manual says it can accept custom sizes. Any help appreciated.
Thank you

Hello Jon,
Happy to reply. 15 cm converts to about 5.9 inches. I don't have an Envy 4520, but i'm sure it's the same as my 5660.
So, all you need to do is put the stock in the paper tray and move the sliding plastic tabs in from the side. Then print. Make sure your stock isn't too thick (heavy). (Specs below) or just try printing one, but minimum in the tray is 10 sheets.
The media sizes meanings: custom means it's infinitely adjustable as I have described above. 3 x 5 means the minimum width is 3 inches and the minimum length (the long dimension on a sheet) is 5 inches.
Specs for your 4520 from HP.com:
Media sizes supported A4; A5; B5; DL; C6; A6
Media sizes, custom 3 x 5 to 8.5 x 14 in
Media types Plain paper; Photo paper; Brochure Paper
Recommended media weight 20 lb
Supported media weight 16 to 24 lb
Media weights by paper path A4: 64 to 90 g/m²; HP envelopes: 75 to 90 g/m²; HP cards: up to 200 g/m²; HP 10 x 15 cm photo paper: up to 250 g/m
Let me know if confusing or any other problem with your cards.

Hello again Jon,
Oh! I see what you mean, I actually hadn't thought to look at those settings. Just experiment, use plain paper that you cut to size, plus make up a test print file with 1-2 words (to save ink), and with the actual stock, reuse them during tests to save paper. (Turn over and turn end for end - that's 4 tests on the same sheet)
I don't believe it matters, since you can adjust the printer's guide bars.
So it looks like A5 is closest, but just try one and than another to see what happens. Good luck and reply if anything works (or not). (... and the thumbs up is greatly appreciated. I am just a volunteer in my spare time in TRYING to find answers, when I can do so.)

I’ve now tried the different ideas, but the printer rejects the selection of paper size, detecting that the size in the tray is different to the size selected. I have now got round that by using larger size that matches the paper size choice.
However, as I am using card, I now have a different problem. The printer is only printing the second half of the page at the top, and the top half is missing. The printer sounds like it is feeding the card through ok, but it must be struggling with the thickness of the card? Is there anything I can do to navigate past that? Especially as I have 100 sheets of this card...!
Thanks
