Hi @CarlaO1,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If the access door on your HP ENVY Pro 6455 won't open all the way and a yellow light is showing, it usually indicates a paper jam or another obstruction. Here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue:
Check for Paper Jams:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it.
- Open the access door carefully.
- Look for any jammed paper or foreign objects inside the printer. Remove any obstructions you find.
Inspect the Print Cartridges:
- While the access door is open, check if the print cartridges are properly installed and not obstructed. If they are misaligned, gently reposition them.
Check the Door Mechanism:
- Ensure that the hinges and mechanisms that allow the door to open are not damaged or blocked.
Please mark this post as “Accepted Solution” if the issue is resolved and if you feel this reply was helpful click “Yes”.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day
