My MAC is not able to print documents anymore. The printer ink is full, just added new ones. Rebooted printer (HP 9010). But still my computer says that the ink is empty and will not print.

Hi @pmviolin,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like there might be a communication issue between your Mac and the printer, or there could be a problem with the printer driver. Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot the issue.
- Check Ink Cartridges: Even though you've replaced the ink cartridges, sometimes they might not be recognized properly. Try removing them and reseating them firmly in the printer.
- Printer Software: Make sure you have the latest printer software installed on your Mac. Visit the HP website and download the latest drivers and software for your HP 9010 printer model.
- Printer Queue: Sometimes, print jobs can get stuck in the print queue, which might prevent new jobs from printing. Open the Print Queue on your Mac (System Preferences > Printers & Scanners > Select your printer > Open Print Queue) and check if there are any stuck jobs. If so, try deleting them and then try printing again.
- Reset Printing System: If none of the above steps work, you can try resetting the printing system on your Mac. This will remove all printers and scanners from your list of available devices. To do this, go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners, right-click (or Control-click) on the list of printers on the left sidebar, and select "Reset printing system." Then re-add your printer and try printing again.
- Check Printer Connection: Ensure that your printer is properly connected to your Mac, either via USB cable or over the network. If it's a wireless connection, make sure your Mac is connected to the same network as the printer.
- Printer Firmware Update: Check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer. Sometimes, updating the printer's firmware can resolve compatibility issues.
- Try Another Device: If possible, try printing from another device to see if the issue is specific to your Mac or if it's a problem with the printer itself.
Hopefully, one of these steps will resolve the issue and get your Mac printing again.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
