When I follow the directions for HP Direct printing from my IPhone, it tells me to go to settings and pick the network. The network is Direct-E1-HP Office Jet Pro 6970  I choose that and go the print and yes, I'm connected to the printer, but I have lost my network internet  connection.  Does this mean that every time I want to print from my IPhone, I must go into settings, choose the printer connection, print, and then return to settings and choose my internet network?  Every Time?

I accept your answer, but I don’t accept it as convenient. On my old iPhone, I didn’t have to through these steps.

Hello,

If you are accessing internet on your iPhone using a Wireless router then you may have to disconnect the iPhone from Wireless network and then connect to Printer's Wifi-Direct network in order to print. By doing this you will not be able to access internet.

If you are accessing internet using Mobile Data ( cellular internet data ) and not through Wireless Internet Connect using router, then ensure that Mobile Data is turned on, and connect your phone ( wireless ) to Printer's  Direct .

By doing this you'd be accessing internet using Mobile Data and printing to Printer connected to Wifi Direct connection.

Hope i have answered your question.

Note : Mobile devices have ability to connect one Wireless network at a given instance.

Regards,
Jabzi
