HP DeskJet 3772 All-in-One Printer

I have a HP DeskJet 3772 and I cannot get it to connect to my Internet I had a subscription with instinct and everything like I was supposed to but it just won't work it will only print out several several pages with instructions on what to do to fix the problem but it does not work

I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble connecting your HP DeskJet 3772 to your internet. Let's go through some steps to troubleshoot and hopefully resolve the issue.

 

1. Check Printer and Network Status

  • Ensure the printer is turned on and has paper loaded.
  • Check your Wi-Fi network to make sure it's working correctly and that other devices can connect to it.

2. Restart Devices

  • Restart your printer: Turn it off, wait a few seconds, and turn it back on.
  • Restart your router: Unplug it, wait 10 seconds, and plug it back in.
  • Restart your computer or mobile device.

3. Reset Network Settings on Printer

  • Press and hold the Wireless button and the Cancel button on the printer at the same time for 3 seconds. This should reset the wireless settings.

4. Reconfigure the Wireless Connection

  • Download and install the HP Smart app on your smartphone or computer.
  • Open the app and select Add Printer. Follow the on-screen instructions to connect your printer to your Wi-Fi network.

5. Check for Firmware Updates

  • Make sure your printer has the latest firmware installed. You can do this through the HP Smart app:
    • Open the HP Smart app.
    • Select your printer.
    • Go to Advanced Settings or Printer Settings and look for a firmware update option.

Please find the next set of steps below.

 

6. Check Instant Ink Subscription

  • Ensure your Instant Ink subscription is active. Sometimes, subscription issues can cause connectivity problems.

7. Printer Factory Reset (if necessary)

If none of the above steps work, you may need to perform a factory reset on your printer:

  • Press and hold the Power button and the Resume button for 10-15 seconds until the printer restarts.

8. Manual Wireless Setup (if needed)

If you're still having trouble, you can try setting up the wireless connection manually:

  • On your printer, press the Wireless button and the Information button at the same time to print a Network Configuration Page.
  • Find the IP address of the printer on this page.
  • Open a web browser on your computer and type the printer's IP address into the address bar. This will open the printer's Embedded Web Server (EWS).
  • Go to the Network tab, select Wireless (802.11), and follow the instructions to connect to your Wi-Fi network.
