Hello, i forgot my password from my printer and i dont know how to restar the printer, or delete entire configuration. How i can erase my password, configuration and everything, the printer is not conected to the wifi because it is another network.

My printer is an hp deskjet ink advantage ultra 4729.

About the questions, the answer are:

 

  • Which password are you referring to? a printer has a password in the configuration system, i only just activaded. But i realy forgot the password.
  • Is there any error message on the printer or the computer? No, do not show any error, only the box message for introducing the password.
  • How is the printer connected to the printer? with a USB cable.

  • May I have the exact model name of the product? Refer to this document for steps to find the product details. Do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc.
  • Could you share the picture of the screen or the window that is asking for the password?

I'd suggest you complete the setup using USB cable and later convert the USB to wireless connection through the HP Printer Assistant. Refer to the document HP Printers - Changing from a USB to a Wireless Connection for help.
