My printer is brand new and I have a learning curve. when trying to print envelops I get an E1 error and the printer jams. As near as I can tell I have loaded the envelop in correctly. When i go to unjam the envelop it seems that it gets stuck on the ink cartridge???

Hi @Confusedashell7,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd be glad to help you!
I understand how challenging it can be to navigate a new printer, especially when you're encountering issues like the E1 error and paper jams with envelopes. It can be frustrating when you're just trying to get your printing done. I'm here to help you resolve this!
An E1 or E2 error indicates the paper size setting does not match the paper size loaded in the input tray.
Load the correct size paper or change the print settings, and then press the Cancel button . Go to HP Printers - Paper Mismatch error (Windows, Mac) for more information.
You may also refer to Blinking Lights for other errors.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance

Your response did help that problem. But now when I try to print, it doesn't seem to recognize where the envelope is in the tray and the print is really screwed up like double or triple print for each letter. Tried multiple settings to no avail. even tried different word processors that worked with my old HP printer.
