HP ENVY 6052e All-in-One Printer

I had a paper jam on my HP ENVY 6052e series printer! After it was cleared I then received an Error 6 in which I can not get to clear. I honestly do not know what happened! I've unplugged it, took cartridges out, held power button for 15 seconds, and waited 30 seconds and plugged it back in and put the cartridges back in and turned it on... It's still not working! I also checked all Firmware updates and printer updates... they are all up to date! Please, help!!!

HI @Moelicious,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Here are some additional troubleshooting steps to try and resolve the E6 error on your HP ENVY 6052e printer:

Check for Obstructions

Open All Access Areas:

  • Open the printer’s access doors, including the front and rear, to check for any remaining paper fragments or obstructions that might be causing the error.

Inspect Rollers:

  • Carefully inspect the rollers for any bits of paper or debris. Gently clean the rollers with a lint-free cloth dampened with distilled water if necessary.

Perform a Hard Reset

Power Off and Unplug:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug the power cord from the back of the printer and the wall outlet.

Wait and Plug In:

  • Wait at least 60 seconds before plugging the power cord back into the printer and the wall outlet.

Turn On Printer:

  • Turn the printer back on and see if the error clears.

Reset the Printer’s Hardware

Remove Cartridges and Unplug:

  • Remove the ink cartridges from the printer.
  • Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer.

Wait and Reinsert Cartridges:

  • Wait at least 60 seconds.
  • Reinsert the ink cartridges and plug the power cord back in.

Turn On Printer:

  • Turn the printer back on and see if the error clears.

Check Cartridge Contacts

Remove and Inspect Cartridges:

  • Remove the ink cartridges and inspect the contacts for any dirt or damage.

Clean Cartridge Contacts:

  • Clean the cartridge contacts with a lint-free cloth slightly dampened with distilled water.

Reinsert Cartridges:

  • Reinsert the ink cartridges and see if the error clears.

Update Printer Firmware

Check for Firmware Updates:

  • Ensure that your printer’s firmware is up to date by visiting the HP Support website and searching for the latest firmware for your HP ENVY 6052e.

Install Firmware Update:

  • Follow the instructions on the HP Support website to download and install any available firmware updates.

Factory Reset the Printer

Access Settings Menu:

  • On the printer’s control panel, navigate to the Settings or Setup menu.

Perform Factory Reset:

  • Look for an option to reset the printer to factory defaults. This option may be under Printer Maintenance or Tools.

Confirm Reset:

  • Confirm the reset and allow the printer to restart. You may need to set up the printer again after the reset.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
