Hi @lemonagain,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
When encountering an error like B8088710 on your HP9025e printer, it's often related to a firmware or software issue. Here are some steps you can take to try to resolve the issue.
- Restart the Printer: Sometimes, a simple restart can clear out temporary issues. Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for a minute or two, then plug it back in and turn it on again.
- Update Firmware: Check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer on the HP website. If there are updates, download and install them according to the instructions provided.
- Check Connections: Ensure that all cables connecting the printer to your computer or network are securely plugged in. If you're using a wireless connection, ensure that the printer is properly connected to your Wi-Fi network.
- Clear Print Queue: Sometimes, a stuck print job can cause errors. Open the print queue on your computer and cancel any pending print jobs.
- Reset Printer: You can try resetting the printer to its factory defaults. The method to do this can vary depending on the printer model, so consult the user manual or HP's support website for instructions specific to your printer.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

I actually performed those actions and it worked. I checked updates and there were none. I was current. There must be a glitch in the firmware that causes this blue screen. It happens when you try to preview a scan using the printer itself.
Thanks for your help,
