I have a Samsung Xpress c410w printer.  The on light on the top of the printer turns from green to red when I turn on the printer.  I cannot get the light to turn back to green and the printer does not work in this mode.  I have already checked thoroughly for a paper jam.  No jam.  I also already re-downloaded the driver software.  Does anyone know how to solve this problem or what to do?

@jscsuper, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Samsung Xpress C410W Printer with Red On Light!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

When the on light of your Samsung Xpress C410W turns red, it indicates that the printer requires attention. Here are some steps to troubleshoot the issue:

Power Cycle the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug the power cord.
  • Wait for about one minute, then plug the power cord back in and turn on the printer.

Check for Any Error Messages:

  • Check the display screen or any error messages on your connected computer.
  • These messages may indicate the specific issue your printer is having (e.g., issues with the toner cartridge, connectivity problems, etc.).

Check Toner Levels and Cartridge:

  • Ensure that the toner cartridges are properly installed.
  • Replace any toner cartridges that are empty or malfunctioning.

Ensure Proper Connection:

  • Make sure that all cables (printer to computer, USB, network cables, if applicable) are securely connected.
  • If using a network connection, ensure the printer is correctly set up and connected to the network.

Inspect the Printer for Mechanical Issues:

  • Re-check for any paper jam.
  • Inspect the paper tray and feeder for any blockages or obstructions.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
