Hi @Liz5439,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It seems like your HP Envy 6020e printer might be indicating an error with the orange light. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the issue.

Check for Paper Jams:

  • Open the printer's front and back panels to check for any paper jams or debris that might be blocking the mechanism.

Check Ink Cartridges:

  • Make sure the ink cartridges are installed correctly and that they are not low or empty.
  • Try removing and reinserting them to ensure they are seated properly.

Power Cycle the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Wait for 30 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.

Check for Error Codes:

  • Look at the printer’s display (if available) for any specific error codes or messages that might indicate the issue.
  • If there’s no display, check the printer's status on your computer or through the HP Smart app for any errors.

Reset the Printer:

  • You can try a factory reset on the printer to clear any potential configuration issues. To reset:
    • Press and hold the power button for about 10 seconds, then release it.
    • This may reset any temporary errors.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
