Hi @Trackman69,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The error message you're seeing on your HP DeskJet printer, with the "E 0" code and the "I" indicator flashing, typically indicates that there's an issue with the printer. To resolve this error, you can try the following steps.

Check for Paper Jams:

  • Make sure there are no paper jams inside the printer. Even a small piece of torn paper can cause issues.

Reset the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source for a minute or two. Then, plug it back in and turn it on. This can help reset the printer's internal settings.

Check for Ink or Toner:

  • Ensure that your printer has enough ink or toner in the cartridges. Low ink levels can sometimes cause errors.

Inspect for Foreign Objects:

  • Check inside the printer for any foreign objects, such as paper clips or bits of paper, which may be obstructing the printer's operations.

Perform a Self-Test:

  • Most HP printers have a self-test or diagnostic page printing function. Refer to your printer's user manual for instructions on how to perform this self-test. It can help identify the issue more specifically.

Update or Reinstall Printer Drivers:

  • Sometimes, outdated or corrupt printer drivers can cause errors. Make sure your printer drivers are up-to-date, or try reinstalling them.

Clear Print Queue:

  • If there are any pending print jobs in the print queue, clear them. Sometimes, a stuck print job can cause printing errors.

Check for Hardware Issues:

  • If none of the above steps resolve the issue, there might be a hardware problem with your printer.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
