Hi @Marcus292,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The "Print Job has been canceled" error message on your HP printer can occur due to several reasons, such as software conflicts, driver issues, or network connectivity problems. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve this issue.

Basic Troubleshooting

Restart Printer and Computer:

  • Turn off your printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Restart your computer.
  • Plug the printer back in and turn it on.
  • Try printing again.

Check Printer Queue:

  • On your computer, go to the printer queue by navigating to Control Panel > Devices and Printers (on Windows) or System Preferences > Printers & Scanners (on Mac).
  • Ensure there are no stuck print jobs. If there are, cancel all jobs and try printing again.

Update or Reinstall Printer Drivers

Update Printer Drivers:

  • Go to the HP Support website and download the latest drivers for your printer model.
  • Install the updated drivers and restart your computer.

Reinstall Printer Drivers:

  • Uninstall the existing printer drivers from your computer.
  • Reinstall the drivers from the HP Support website.
  • Restart your computer and try printing again.

Check Network Connection

Ensure Stable Connection:

  • If your printer is connected via Wi-Fi, make sure it is connected to the same network as your computer.
  • If using a wired connection, ensure all cables are securely connected.

Re-establish Network Connection:

  • Disconnect the printer from the network and reconnect it.
  • Run the wireless setup wizard from the printer’s control panel to reconnect to the network.

Run HP Print and Scan Doctor

  1. Download and Run HP Print and Scan Doctor:
    • Download the HP Print and Scan Doctor tool.
    • Run the tool and follow the on-screen instructions to diagnose and fix printing issues.

Check Printer Settings

Default Printer:

  • Ensure your HP printer is set as the default printer in your computer’s settings.

Printer Status:

  • Make sure the printer is online and not set to "Use Printer Offline" mode.

Advanced Troubleshooting

Clear Spooler Files (Windows):

  • Open Command Prompt as an administrator.
  • Type the following commands and press Enter after each line:

net stop spooler

del %systemroot%\System32\spool\printers\* /Q

net start spooler

  • Restart your computer and try printing again.

Check for Software Conflicts:

  • Disable or temporarily uninstall any third-party security software that might be interfering with the print process.
  • Ensure no background applications are causing conflicts.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
