After lightening strike sent power surge, I have blue screen on control panel with code B83493A6. Is this a recoverable error?
I tried the power drain recommended on another post and still see the same blue screen and same code.

Welcome to our HP User Forum!
If you're experiencing issues with your HP OfficeJet Pro 9015 All-In-One Printer after a power surge caused by a lightning strike, it's very possible that the printer's internal components have been affected (read: fried) by the electrical surge. In my opinion, only an experienced printer tech person can determine for sure if your printer is recoverable, so to speak.
Not surprisingly, lightning strikes can cause serious damage to electronic devices, including printers. Here are some steps you can take to address the situation:
Unplug the Printer: Immediately disconnect the printer from the power source to prevent further damage. Unplugging the printer helps protect it from potential power surges or fluctuations caused by residual electrical activity.
Inspect for Physical Damage: Carefully examine the printer for any visible signs of physical damage, such as scorch marks, burnt components, or melted parts. If you notice any damage, it's likely that the printer's internal components have been affected.
Wait and Reconnect: After a lightning strike, it's a good idea to wait for a while before attempting to reconnect the printer. This gives any residual electrical energy a chance to dissipate.
Reset the Printer: If the printer has a reset button or a combination of buttons that can be pressed to perform a reset, you can try this as a first step. Refer to the printer's manual* for instructions on how to reset it.
Contact HP Support: Given that the lightning strike can potentially cause complex and unpredictable damage, it's advisable to contact HP customer support. Explain the situation to them, including the error code you're encountering. They might be able to provide specific guidance based on the damage caused by the lightning strike.
Professional Assessment: In some cases, the damage caused by a lightning strike might be extensive and require professional repair services. HP's customer support may be able to direct you to authorized service centers or technicians who can assess and repair the printer.
Surge Protection: To prevent future occurrences of this nature, consider using surge protectors or uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) to safeguard your electronic devices, including the printer, from power surges caused by lightning or other electrical issues.

Remember that the safety of both you and the equipment is paramount. If you're uncertain about handling the printer or attempting any troubleshooting steps on your own, it's best to rely on professional help to avoid any further damage or safety risks.
Hope this was helpful.

I am comfortable with trouble shooting the printer. Normally all is so easy as everything is plug and play typically.
But with the blue screen error - the control panel screen on the printer is frozen. Touching the screen does nothing.
I haven't found a way to reset to factory without using this control panel functioning. When the power is on the printer and the door opens -normally the print cartridges will move. Now with all frozen on the blue screen - nothing moves when the door is opened.
I tried HP Smart - but the app doesn't see the printer. I removed the printer fully and tried to add with the printer plugged in as a local printer via usb and still nothing.
