I have gone through every step of the virtual assistant process to fix "printing blank pages" to include a factory default reset.  I've done each step at least three times.  What now?

Hi @WGF10,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

1. Check Ink Levels & Cartridge Issues

  • Open HP Smart App → Check ink levels.
  • If ink is low or empty, replace the cartridge.
  • If cartridges are new, manually clean the printhead:
    • Remove the cartridges and gently clean the nozzles with a lint-free cloth dampened with distilled water.
    • Let them dry completely before reinserting.

2. Use HP Printer Diagnostic Tools

  • Download and run HP Print and Scan Doctor:
    HP Print and Scan Doctor
    • It will automatically detect issues and attempt fixes.

3. Ensure You Are Using Genuine HP Ink

  • Non-genuine cartridges may cause printing issues. If you're using third-party cartridges, try switching to original HP ink.

4. Change Print Settings

  • Open Control Panel → Devices and Printers.
  • Right-click your printer → Printing Preferences.
  • Set Print Quality to "Best".
  • Disable "Print in Grayscale" if enabled.

5. Align and Clean Printhead via Printer Software

  • Open HP Smart App → Go to Printer Maintenance.
  • Run Printhead Cleaning multiple times.
  • Try Printhead Alignment as well.

6. Try Printing a Hardware Diagnostic Page

  • Power off the printer, then turn it back on.
  • Press and hold the Power + Cancel (X) buttons for 5 seconds.
  • The printer should print a test page.
  • If the page is blank, the issue is likely hardware-related.

7. Hard Reset the Printer

  • Unplug the power cord while the printer is ON.
  • Wait 5 minutes, then reconnect.
  • Perform a full setup again.

Let me know how it goes.
