Hello @Karenstyn ,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!

 

Follow these instructions:

  1. Step 1: Look for jammed paper > Clear paper from the document feeder
    then
  2. Step 2: Reset the printer 

    Note: HP recommends plugging the printer directly into a wall outlet.
