HP DeskJet 2755
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

HP DeskJet 2755 and I have several problems with it:

1.  From time to time it won't print and the error message is Open Door.  The door isn't open, there is nothing stuck in there.  It will print the test page just fine after putting in a new cartridge, but won't print.

2.  Other times it will just not print.  So, I unplug it, or turn it off and then sometimes it starts up...

I have owned other HP printers in the past and I don't know what is wrong with this one; it was purchased at the end of December 2020, so I haven't had it for long.  It's too late for me to return it...I am disappointed and frustrated with this product.  I do use HP ink cartridges.

@trish08, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

I understand you are facing issues with this printer. Let us try these steps:

Reset the printer

  1. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  2. Wait at least 60 seconds.
  3. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
  4. Turn ON the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
  5. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you proceed.

Note: HP recommends connecting the printer directly to a wall outlet rather than a surge protector or a power strip.

Update the printer firmware

Check for any jams inside the printer and make sure the printer carriage is moving freely. Refer to -  'E4' Error Displays (Paper Jam)

Run HP Print and Scan Doctor to diagnose and fix any driver issue

Click here to download the file. Once downloaded, make sure to run the file to start the installation and click on 'Fix printing'.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
