Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

After reloading paper, I receive error message " Load tray 1 intermediate paper."  I only have one tray and it IS filled with intermediate paper. I even changed paper to intermediate in printer settings. It used to be undefined.

Then I receive a message "Or press OK to use available media"

This happens every time I want to print. How do I get rid of these errors so I don't have to keep pressing buttons every time I want to print.

Welcome to the HP support community.

Clean the pickup roller

  1. Turn off the printer, and then disconnect the power cord and any other cables from the rear of the printer.

  2. Wait for the printer to cool, and then remove the input tray.

  3. Turn the printer on its side to access its underside (base), and then find the pickup roller.

  4. Lightly dampen a clean, lint-free cloth with bottled or distilled water, and then squeeze any excess liquid from the cloth.

  5. Press the cloth against the pickup roller, and then rotate it upward with your fingers. Apply a moderate amount of pressure to remove any dust or dirt buildup.

  6. Allow the pickup roller to dry completely (approximately 10 minutes).

  7. Set the printer upright, and then insert and close the input tray.

  8. Reconnect the power cord and any other cables to the rear of the printer, and then turn on the printer.
