I am trying to buy a new printer that will accommodate print then cut vinyl for my Cricut. It is very thick and stiff and causes a paper jam on Epson and new HP, that I took back. Which one is not a color ink guzzler and will print on thick paper. And will print black even if u run out of color ink.

A printer of this type might cost you a lot of money.  There are few printers than handle heavy vinyl and likely nothing in the consumer-grade range of printer products from manufacturers like HP or Epson (guessing about Epson).

Consumer grade printers handle paper of various types and weights.  Some printers also print on other "paper like" media (for example Transparencies).  Vinyl printing is a specialty.

If you would like to pursue the subject, HP may indeed produce something suitable - you should talk to an HP Sales representative.  For example,

OR

Have you considered the Cricut specialty machines made for the purpose?

A very quick check using Google search brings up various options, including "cut" machines that apparently range from about $135 USD to a bit more than $400 USD.  Know that is a "quick check" only - I know nothing of the craft and am simply trying to point out "what might work" for the Cricut family of products.

I have a cricut, but if you want to cut an object that has multiple colors and shading, like a cow, you have to print it first, the cricut sends it to your printer, you print on this special printable vinyl, then you put it in the cricut and it cuts it our perfectly, using the special marks it made when printing.  I just need a printer that will accept the thick paper.
