My inkjet 640c was stored with the cartridges still in the carriage. Ink leaked inside the chassis. I need to disassemble the printer to clean the insides so it doesn't leave an inky mess wherever it's placed. I have been able to remove the top of the printer, but I'd like to have some instructions on how to remove the internal parts so I can get under there and clean it up. Does anyone have access to these instructions/schematics?

@vseavello Since the device is out of warranty (obsolete), and we've concluded that this is a hardware malfunction based on the fact that there's ink leakage, I may have a few pointers/suggestions to help you out, however, since this suggestions are limited to you and your printer alone, I'd like to send out a private message with those details.

I'm sorry, I thought I had mentioned in the body of the post that it was an HP deskjet 940c printer which has C6431A on the label on the bottom. Is that the info you need?

I double checked both my OP and the printer. Looks like I gave the wrong printer name in the OP. It is indeed a 940c deskjet printer. The tag is C6431A. Sorry for the confusion.
