Nope, because your printer stop working and will not work if any of the ink cartridges is missing or empty.
Also removing ink cartridges and turning the printer OFF without ink cartridges is bad for printers printhead.

If turning off the printer without cartridges installed is bad, then why does @Sandytechy20 say to do that in this post

In that post is a different printer model. In that post printer model mentioned has printhead integrated within ink cartridge.
In this post, on this printer model ink cartridges are separated from the printhead and removing ink cartridges leaves printhead open and exposed to air that's not good because it can make printhead fail.
