I have taken the steps suggested in this community to rid my printer of this error code, and it works temporarily, but then quickly returns flashing.

Any new suggestions?

Thank you.

Hi @Carlane

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to help you with the "0x.." error.

Please try these steps -

1) Take out the cartridges.

2) Unplug the power cord from the printer & wall.

3) Wait for 30 seconds.

4) Plug the power cord back into the printer and wall, ensure the printer is plugged into the wall & not to a surge protector.

5) Insert the cartridges back into the printer.

Also, try updating the printer's firmware - HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware

If the issue still persists, I'd suggest you Contact HP in your region regarding the service options for your printer. If you are having trouble navigating through the above options, please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from. I got the cartridges out and followed all these steps, including moving my printer to a different location so that I could plug it into the wall socket instead of the surge protector by my computer set up. I still get the error code.
