Hi @Liz2551

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

I'm really sorry your HP Envy 6455e isn’t printing and is showing that orange circle with an “i”—that kind of alert can feel vague and frustrating, especially when you just want your pages to come out smoothly.

Let’s walk through a few steps to help clear the warning and get your printer back to work.

Steps to Resolve Orange “i” Icon and Restore Printing

1. Check for Error Messages on the Control Panel

  • Tap the information icon or check the HP App for any alerts
  • Common causes include:
    • Paper jam
    • Low or empty ink
    • Door open
    • Network disconnection

2. Use the HP App to Diagnose

  • Open the HP App on your computer or mobile device
  • Select your HP Envy 6455e
  • Go to Settings > Tools > Diagnose & Fix
  • Run the tool to automatically detect and resolve issues

Download or reinstall if needed:
HP App Setup Guide

3. Check Ink Cartridges

  • Open the cartridge access door
  • Make sure both cartridges are installed correctly and clicked into place
  • If recently replaced, remove and reinsert them
  • Close the door firmly and wait for the printer to recalibrate

4. Confirm Paper and Tray Setup

  • Ensure paper is loaded correctly in the input tray
  • Adjust paper guides snugly against the stack
  • Use plain white paper for testing
  • Avoid overloading the tray

5. Power Cycle the Printer

  • Turn off the printer and unplug the power cord
  • Wait 60 seconds
  • Plug it back in and power on
  • Try printing a test page from the HP App

6. Update Firmware

Outdated firmware can cause persistent alerts.

Let me know if you'd like help checking your ink levels or confirming the firmware version. Once these steps are complete, that orange icon should disappear and your printer should be ready to print again.
