I have a HP210 printer.  When I turn it on, I get an error message that says 83C00009 and nothing happens.

Hi @Ggapops

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

The 83C00009 error on your HP 210 printer typically indicates a firmware-level crash or bootloader failure—often referred to as a NOS_LOADER_APP error in HP’s internal diagnostics. This kind of error prevents the printer from initializing properly and usually appears as a blue screen or frozen startup.

Here’s how you can try to recover it:

1. Perform a full power reset

Switch off the printer.

Disconnect the power cable from both the wall outlet and the printer.

Let it rest for about two minutes to fully discharge.

Reconnect the cable firmly and power it back on.

2. Attempt a firmware recovery through USB
Sometimes the printer firmware can become interrupted, and reinstalling it through a direct USB connection can refresh the system.

On your computer, download the latest firmware for your model from this page:
HP Printer Firmware Updates

Connect the printer to the computer using a USB cable.

Run the firmware update utility and follow the instructions on screen.

3. If the issue continues
When the printer does not recover after these steps, it usually requires service attention, as internal components may need to be reset or replaced.

You're clearly doing everything right—just need HP’s systems to meet you halfway.
