@RikVed, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Here’s a step-by-step guide to help resolve the issue with your HP LaserJet MFP M140w Printer not connecting after upgrading your modem:

Step 1: Reset the Printer’s Network Settings

This clears old Wi-Fi settings and prepares the printer for a fresh setup.

  1. Turn on the printer.
  2. Press and hold the Wireless button (📶) and the Cancel button () together for 5 seconds.
  3. The printer will restart and the wireless light will start blinking, this means it’s in setup mode.

Step 2: Reconnect the Printer to Wi-Fi

Use the HP Smart App (recommended method):

Download or open the HP Smart app on your PC or smartphone: HP Smart

Open the app and click “Set up a new printer.”

Follow the on-screen instructions to:

  • Detect the printer in setup mode.
  • Select your new Wi-Fi network.
  • Enter the Wi-Fi password.

Once connected, the blue light will stop blinking and stay solid.

Step 3: Reinstall the Printer Driver (if needed)

If the printer still doesn’t appear on your PC:

Go to the official driver page: support.hp.com/us-en

Download and install the Full Feature Software and Drivers.

Test the Connection

  • Print a Wireless Network Test Report from the printer control panel to confirm it's connected.
  • Try printing a test page from your PC.

Additional Tips

  • Ensure your PC is on the same Wi-Fi network as the printer.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
