I want to print No 6 3/4 envelops but get an error message about wrong paper size

The printer might be able to print this size envelope - the specifications are a bit unclear on the subject.

What? 

The general Custom paper size list includes this size range. 

That said, envelopes have their own rules about things and the smaller envelope size might be rejected.  Why?  It is not the length (6 1/2 inches) - it is the height (3 5/8 inches) - the height might be just shy of what is necessary (a bit over 4 inches).  True?  Unknown.  Try it.

What to do?

First,

After you load the envelopes, alert the printer display panel (or use EWS) about the paper size / type.

IF your printer does not include the paper size / type you need,

IF the list includes "Custom" (likely the last entry),

Set the paper size to Custom and the type to plain paper.

Control Panel > icon view > Devices and Printers

Right-Click on your printer > Printing Preferences

• When called from within printing software / applications, Printing Preferences might be called "Printer Properties" / "Shortcuts" / “More Settings” / “Properties” or similar.

• No Size?  If the size of the Paper Size is not included in the Drop-down list, consider / try:  Create a Custom Paper Size Form.  Reference:  HP Printers - Creating Custom Paper Sizes

Select / leave Printing Preferences Shortcut to "Everyday Printing" or something equally benign.
