@Osti89, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding an error message!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I see you’re running into the Tray Lifting Failure (AlertID: 207) issue on your printer. No worries—I’m here to help you troubleshoot this!

Let’s try these steps:

Power Cycle the Printer

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Wait for about 2–3 minutes to reset the internal components.
  • Plug it back in and turn it on to see if the error persists.

Check for Paper Jams or Obstructions

  • Gently remove the paper tray and inspect it for any jammed paper or debris.
  • If you see any stuck paper, carefully remove it without tearing.

Verify Paper Alignment & Load Capacity

  • Make sure the paper is properly aligned with the tray guides.
  • Avoid overloading—stick to the recommended paper limit for your printer model.

Reinsert the Tray

  • Place the tray back firmly into the printer and ensure it sits properly.

Firmware Check

  • If the issue persists, check if your printer’s firmware is up to date.
  • You can find updates on the HP Support website under your printer model.

A couple of quick questions to help narrow this down:

  • When did this error first appear? (After a paper refill, firmware update, or suddenly?)
  • Do you hear any unusual sounds when the tray tries to lift? (Clicking, grinding, or no movement at all?)
  • Have you tried a different type of paper? (Some printers are sensitive to thick or curled paper.)
  • Also, let me know your printer model so that I can give you more specific troubleshooting steps!

Let me know what happens after these steps, and we’ll figure this out together! 😊

Take care, and have an amazing day!
