Solution presented itself this morning just as accidentally and the problem started --

While I had checked the paper size setting in FAX preferences to make certain it was set to Letter, I was unaware that the printer paper size was set on Legal.

When I added more paper this morning, the display flashed an alert that the paper size was set to Legal.  Once I changed it to Letter and reprinted my last fax, BINGO!, problem solved.

Many thanks for your concerted efforts to solve this for me, and my apologies for this oversight on my part.  I knew it was weird to have started out of the blue.

Anyway -- alls well that ends well 🙂
