Sorry you’re having this issue, too. I was not able to resolve the problem so my hp printer ended up in the landfill. I bought another brand printer to replace it. If you can return your purchase I strongly suggest you do that and buy another brand printer. I’m done with HP.

@carla99, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
You may refill your cartridges or use remanufactured cartridges, but you may run into problems. HP will not guarantee the functionality of those ink cartridges.
QualityLogic, one of the world's foremost quality assurance organizations, tested the performance of HP inkjet print cartridges vs. remanufactured (refilled) brands. The results: original HP inkjet print cartridges far surpassed ink refills in both print quality and reliability.
Nearly one out of every six refilled ink cartridges tested was dead on arrival or failed prematurely 70% of refilled cartridges had some form of reliability problem Count on HP original ink cartridges for consistent, worry-free printing.
You may think you're saving money on remanufactured or refilled ink cartridges, but in the long run, the cost of wasted time, ink, and paper can more than make up the difference.
For more info, refer to this document.
If you are getting an 'Incompatible ink cartridge' error, perform the steps mentioned in this document.
Let me know how this goes.

I found the solution. Make sure ALL HP ink carttridges [Black & Color] are coded Z10- for use in US & Canada, then call HP tech support [800-474-6836] to help you Regionalize your printer for use in US & Canada. They will have their supervisor make the changes on the back end by asking to get into your computer thru a link. It's simple & doesn't take long.

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).
If you are unfamiliar with how the Community's private message capability works, you can learn about that here.
Thank you for visiting the HP Support Community.

I have the same issue.. Printer noted low ink for Cyan. Went to Staples and bought an HP cartridge (on a fixed budget, senior so I had to skip a meal to have enough money).
Installed it per the instructions...STILL THE SAME MESSAGE AND IT WILL NO CLEAR. WHY???????????
I can't even print, copy, etc. in black.
All is blocked. Can't afford new printers...
