HP DeskJet 2755e All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)

I just successfully set up my new HP DeskJet 2755e wirelessly.

WHY DOES THE INFORMATION BUTTON LIGHT STAY ON?

Does this mean there's a problem?

Everything works fine. It prints from computer, from the iPhone and scans great. Just want to know if this light on means there's a problem. I see a lot of other people are asking and there's been no answer.

Thank you, KC

Hi,

Thanks for using the HP Support Community.

Can press on the "Info" button and see if there are any error messages?

Was Instant Ink subscribed?  If "Yes", have the Welcome kit inks been received and installed?

Thanks.

Thanks for the fast reply. I printed the info page.

I don't have a USB cord hooked up, so I'm printing wirelessly.

Here's what the info page says:

- The printer is connected to the wireless network ###### (which is my network at home)

- The printer IP address is ###### (which I assume is correct)

Then in BOLD, the next line says:

- This printer is not connected to the internet

So it says I "AM" connected and I'm "NOT" connected???

I followed instructions saying to "print additional network info, press the Wireless and Information buttons at the same time.

I did this and it printed a WPS PIN for me. Am I supposed to do something with that?

As for "Instant Ink"... I did sign up, but only two days ago, so nothing received yet.

Hi,

Are you able to Print & Scan using HP Smart?

If all is working, then just leave it 🙂

Once the Setup Inks are used up, then install the Welcome Kit inks.

Enjoy the HP Instant Ink trial!

I CAN print and scan from my computer (Windows 7) ...even though the driver for my printer isn't listed (not 2755e or even 2700 series for Windows 7), so I click on "don't see your printer?" It takes me to a page that says "403 FORBIDDEN". But somehow the printer shows up when I print from the computer.

I CAN also print and scan from my iPhone 13 with the HP Smart App

BUT... I'm signed up for Instant Ink and they say my printer isn't connected to the "INTERNET".

They won't send me ink until I get it connected.

Apparently I'm only connected in my home???

HELP! I've searched all over and can't find out how to CONNECT TO THE INTERNET
