Printed the page(s), only possible error is a line which says "This printer is not connected to the internet." But it is connected to the wireless network and went through all the set up process and prints and scans.
So why the light?

Hi@NBove1013, @jhbeck23
Welcome to the HP Support Community! I'd like to help!
I see you are experiencing issues with the HP DeskJet All-in-One Printer. The information light cannot be disabled, it is designed to remain on. Pressing the information button prints a printer information page. Printer Information Page provides a summary of the printer information and its current status
Are you getting any error message?
Are you able to make a copy?
Is the information light blinking? Is there any other light on the printer blinking?
While you respond to that, try these steps -
1) Turn on the printer, if it is not already on.
2) Wait until the printer is idle and silent.
3) With the printer turned on, unplug the power cord from the printer & wall.
3) Wait for 60 seconds.
4) Plug the power cord back into the printer and wall, ensure the printer is plugged into the wall & not to a surge protector.
5) Turn on the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
There is possibility the printer is indicating error message from those alignment page after scanned. Do ensure your print out Alignment page is facing the scanner glass with the leading edge against indicator corner of the scanner. Refer to photo attach.
Use these tips to help complete the alignment or remove the message.
-
Use clean white paper: Make sure the printer is loaded with unused, clean white paper, and then retry alignment.
-
Scan page if required: If your printer has a scanner, you might see instructions on the alignment page to place the page on the scanner bed and press Scan. Follow the instructions on the alignment page to complete the scan.
-
Choose 'Skip' to continue printing: If the 'Alignment Unsuccessful' message cannot be resolved, and you see a Skip button, you can choose to continue printing without alignment. Print quality might be affected.

Hello,
Thanks for your reply. I am not experiencing any other problems with the printer so as long as the "i" light is supposed to remain lit constantly then I guess I am all set. Thank you for explaining that to me I couldn't locate that information anywhere in the information provided with the printer.

I spent over 2 hours last night with an HP tech. Needless to say, after all that time, the red light on my brand new Deskjet 4155e still has the red light on on the information button. I have a few days that I can return it. Plz help before I return it & replace it with a competitive printer that works, HP Smart tells me the printer is offline. This is crazy.

- If that light is supposed to stay on all the time and it isn't an error, as mentioned in the accepted response above from HP, then why not have it be GREEN? An orange or red light usually means there's something wrong! Crazy.
- It should be mentioned somewhere in the documentation or information provided during setup that this will happen and is OK
- Why give out the suggested solution (repeatedly) to unplug and replug to "resolve the issue" if there is no issue to resolve and it is perfectly normal for the light to be on?
Not much of this makes sense.
